A Kitbashed creation

A few months ago I put together this model from a broken Dinky Striker as well as an armored core model kit. It’s a bit crude, but considering how cheap it was to make, I am fairly happy with it. Interestingly, the spring loaded launcher still works and can fire matchstick sized projectiles 7 or 8 meters.

For the time being this is really only a shelf piece and not a wargaming model. This is because the Dinky Striker is fully metal, which coupled with plastic legs, makes this model extremely top heavy and prone to falling. Even getting these photos was a bit of a challenge. For weeks I have been looking into making a dock/ bay that can secure the model whilst also displaying it, but for now I haven’t made any real progress.

Although the hatch is clearly from a Warhammer 40k rhino, it can accommodate a 1/35 scale human with a bit of finagling. The figure shown is a crewman from a model Conqueror. If it isn’t obvious in the photographs, he is holding a cigarette, which inspired the Rogue-Trader-esque graffiti.
