Battletech: Griffin, Rifleman and Vindicator

Another Battletech update here. The Griffin’s colour scheme was loosely inspired by knights of sidonia, in particular the type 17 with it’s red and white. I quite like this combo along with the gold cockpit glass, reminiscent of a polarized space suit visor.

Normally people advise against using black wash on white areas as it dirties up the white with a thin film of leftover black pigment, but I feel as though I pulled it off here. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the sand colour on the rifleman and vindicator, which both look a bit dirty. It’s not so bad that I feel the need to re-paint them, but they don’t quite look as they did in my mind’s eye.
